Scape Sweater [Digital Knitting Pattern]
Scape Sweater is inspired by the landscape surrounding Kirkjufell, a mountain on the northwest coast of Iceland. The sweater is designed with positive ease, drop-shoulders, and slightly tapered sleeves for the perfect cozy fit.
Constructed from the bottom up in two halves, the front and back panels are seamed at the shoulders and sides to form the body. The sleeves are constructed flat, seamed into a tube, and then seamed to the body. The ribbed collar and cuffs are picked up after seaming to finish off the sweater.
This pattern is written for intermediate knitters and was designed using a single strand of Manos Del Uruguay Clasica (100 g/126 m) on 8 mm needles. Substitutions are welcome, but be sure to check gauge before starting!
